I'm still not sure if I want to go with the JP1, but even if I don't now, I probably won't resist the temptation at some point. Inside the battery compartment I see 1) a 6-pin header marked "JP1.2", 2) a sticker with the following codes: "URC8820N", "R11781", "4935CT". Its a very simple system to set up, and its even easier to program. Delays all seemed to work properly, and everything snapped into place fairly easily. I didnt have any issues with IR emitter levels. ![]() Will that work? The voltages are OK, I guess: +5V for Vcc and +3.4V for Tx/Rx (one of them is actually 0V now, but I assume they are both compatible with the 3.3V GPIO in the RPi). Harmonys IR-based systems are finicky, but with the Harmony Ultimate and Smart Control, Logitech seems to have really nailed it. It has 4 wires, though - Vcc/GND, plus Tx/Rx. In the process, I also found a USB-to-TTL cable that came with a Raspberry Pi kit. Any workaround for that? The "key code" option works, but obviously it is not meant to process hex codes, so I got a "conversion error" in the end.įor the 8820, I have found it in my storage (first step done.). I pasted a hex code into the "IR sequence" field (is that the right one?), clicked on "Process", and it took me to an error page (500 - internal server error). However, the "infrared analysis" page apparently isn't working anymore. Please note that this cannot be done for the Harmony 300, Harmony 900, and Harmony 1100.īe sure to check back every week for more Harmony tips and tricks and feel free to send us your comments.Yes, the main page for the members website seems to be disabled, but an old link from my browsing history and an extra click took me to the login page. This type of advanced customization can bring a whole new level of enjoyment from your Harmony experience. I’ve personally assisted people with setting up a sequence on their Harmony One so they can push ‘Play’ on their Home Theater Activity and their IR lights will dim when the movie starts to play, and come back on when they push ‘Pause’ or ‘Stop’.
